I recently spent the weekend travelling to California for a half marathon in Joshua Tree, but was able to see so many other great things along the way. It was the best training decision that I have made all year. Memories were made, lessons were learned, and a new spark for running has developed. Hopefully these lessons learned from the trip will inspire you to sign up for your next RUNcation:
Overall, this has been one of my most favorite races to date, since I was able to spend time looking at the sport of running with a completely new perspective. As I was enjoying a peaceful vacation in California, I was also growing in further in love with running. Rewarding a hard earned race with beautiful sunsets, amazing food, and living in the moment only has only inspired me to keep running. My hope is that everyone can experience the moments that inspire them to live a life more full. So what is your next RUNcation?
I ended up finding a race planning company called Vacation Races, which hosts half marathons, ultramarathons, & trail races in the nation's most breathtaking destinations. If you are looking for some races to run, I fully recommend going to a Vacation Race.
